A four-storey urban residence in Jaya Nagar wrapped in slim white-frame Woodminium casements, sliders and a corner picture-window - engineered for street-side acoustics and tree-canopy views.
Tucked into a tight Jaya Nagar plot between neighbouring buildings, this four-storey home stacks balconies, cantilevered bays and a top-floor terrace pavilion. Woodminium delivered a fully white powder-coated aluminium envelope - sliding windows on the street face, two-panel corner casements that wrap the rear bedrooms around the tree canopy, and slim fixed picture windows beside the lift core. Slim sightlines, multi-point locks and acoustic glazing keep the inner-city street outside.
The story
The brief was a clean, modern white facade with as much glass as possible - but the home faces a busy Jaya Nagar street and overlooks a leafy rear plot, so each elevation needed a different system. We specified slim white casements for the rear, two-track sliders for the street-facing rooms, and a long slim fixed window beside the lift to pull daylight into the core.
The corner bedrooms use a butt-jointed two-panel casement that wraps the building corner - opening the room to a 270-degree tree view with no mullion in the way. Black multi-point handles and concealed hinges keep the white frames visually quiet against the plaster walls.
Every operable sash is fitted with EPDM acoustic gaskets and laminated glass on the street side, knocking down traffic noise without losing the light. The result is a tight, modern envelope that lets the architecture - and the trees - do the talking.
