An eclectic Bengaluru apartment where Woodminium delivered a Crittall-style black-framed sliding glass partition between the lounge and the inner conservatory - industrial-grid sightlines paired with smooth top-hung sliding hardware.

Nandita Shah's home blends bohemian textiles, brass lighting and lush indoor planting around a layered open-plan lounge. To separate the formal seating area from the rear conservatory without losing light or visual depth, Woodminium fabricated a four-panel Crittall-style sliding partition - slim matte-black aluminium frames with a square gridded muntin pattern, top-hung on a concealed steel track, glazed in clear toughened glass with floor-mounted guides for whisper-quiet operation.

The story

The brief was simple: keep the two zones acoustically separable but visually continuous. We engineered the partition as two pairs of sliding leaves running on a single concealed top track, framed in matte-black powder-coated aluminium that matches the home's existing iron lighting and accent details.

Each leaf carries a square steel-grid muntin pattern referencing classic Crittall steelwork, but with the lighter weight and thermal performance of our Woodminium aluminium system. EPDM seals run the full perimeter to dampen sound transfer, and brushed-steel D-handles keep the inside face clean.

Linen pinch-pleat curtains hang outside the partition for evening privacy, while the gridded glass keeps the inner conservatory - with its rope-wrapped column, candles and planting - visible from every seat in the lounge.
