A multi-floor Bengaluru residence-cum-guest house for Techspiration India - teak wood-grain Woodminium sliders, picture windows and balcony doors with integrated grilles, pleated mosquito mesh and laminated acoustic glass.
For Techspiration India's Bengaluru property we delivered the complete Woodminium glazing package across living, dining, family, media, pooja and balcony spaces. Every opening is finished in a deep teak wood-grain - picture windows behind decorative MS grilles for the street-facing rooms, full-height three-panel sliders onto the planted balcony for the pooja and lobby, and tall casements with integrated mesh tracks for cross-ventilation. Pleated retractable insect mesh, slim black handles, multi-point hook locks and EPDM gaskets keep every opening sealed against Bengaluru's dust, monsoon and street noise.
The story
The brief was a calm, warm corporate residence - somewhere visiting leadership and partners could stay or work without ever feeling like they had left a private home. The architects locked in teak wood-grain Woodminium frames as the unifying envelope so every room reads in the same warm timber tone, against ivory walls and travertine floors.
Street-facing living, dining and family rooms use fixed picture windows behind decorative MS grilles - the grille reads as a screen from inside, the Woodminium frame disappears, and laminated acoustic glass cuts the city noise. Pleated retractable mesh tucks into the side jamb so guests can throw the windows open at night without losing the clean detail.
On the rear, the pooja room and lobby open through full-height three-panel sliders onto a planted balcony framed by old rain trees. The sliders run on stainless tandem rollers with multi-point hook locks; concealed weep channels and EPDM gaskets handle Bengaluru's monsoon, while a flush bottom track keeps the threshold step-free for daily use.
