A nature-immersive boutique resort wrapped in floor-to-ceiling premium system aluminium sliders, French doors and fixed glazing - built for tropical light, breezes and uninterrupted garden views.

Nature Knots is a tropical-modern hospitality property where every guest space - from the central dining hall to private cottages - opens directly into landscaped courtyards, lily ponds and banana-leaf gardens. Woodminium delivered the entire glazing envelope: oversized 3-track sliding doors for the dining and lounge areas, French casement doors with full-height fixed glazing for the cottages, and custom dark-bronze finished aluminium frames that vanish against the foliage. Every system was specified for Karnataka's tropical monsoons - multi-point locking, EPDM weather gaskets, factory-fitted European hardware and toughened double glazing.

The story

The brief was simple but demanding: dissolve the line between indoor and outdoor. The architects wanted glass walls that read as continuous planters, not partitions - so we engineered slim 50mm sightlines and matched the frame finish to the surrounding tree bark and pergola bamboo.

In the dining hall, a 9-metre run of triple-track sliders opens onto the brick courtyard, letting the entire wall stack open during evening events. Heavy-duty stainless rollers carry panels up to 320kg each, and a recessed bottom track keeps the threshold flush with the terracotta floor.

Cottage suites use a hybrid French door + fixed glazing system. The operable French panel sits within a full-height transom-and-sidelight assembly, giving guests a private garden balcony framed by 2.7m of uninterrupted glass. Concealed insect mesh keeps the rooms breathable through monsoon nights.

Every aluminium profile is powder-coated in a deep bronze RAL - chosen on-site against the bark of the existing rain trees that the resort built around. The result is glazing that disappears, and a guest experience defined entirely by the garden.
